The obstetric panel is a group of blood tests done early in pregnancy. It includes a complete blood count, blood type and Rh factor, a red blood cell antibody screen, a hepatitis B surface antigen test, a rubella immunity test and a syphilis test.
What the price covers
The price usually covers all tests in the panel. The blood draw is often a separate charge, and an HIV test, if done, is billed separately or under a different panel code (80081).
