SelfPayRates — hospital cash prices, from the source
This policy is written for the Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370 and Connecticut's consumer health data rules, and applies to every visitor.
Nothing you type or submit: there are no accounts, forms or search boxes, and SelfPayRates sets no cookies. The only data that could count as consumer health data is technical: when you open a page about a procedure, the address of that page and your IP address reach our host and Cloudflare in the course of delivering it.
Only to deliver the page, keep the site running and stop abuse. Those logs are rotated automatically and are not used for profiling, advertising or anything else. We never sell consumer health data.
Outside Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, pages carry ads served by Google, and your browser sends Google the page address and your IP address (see Privacy). In those three states, and whenever we cannot tell where a visit comes from, no ad script is loaded and nothing is shared with an ad network. Cloudflare (network protection) and our hosting provider process requests on our behalf. To choose where ads may appear, the server looks up the state of your IP address in a local database (IP geolocation by DB-IP); the IP is not sent anywhere for this and the result is not stored.
You may ask whether we hold consumer health data about you, ask for a copy, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent. Because we keep nothing linked to a person, the answer will usually be that we hold none, but we will check the logs we have and reply within 45 days.
