Cash or insurance?

What it is
A root canal on a molar removes infected or damaged pulp from the tooth's roots, cleans and shapes the canals, and seals them. Molars have more canals than front teeth, so the treatment usually takes longer.
What the price covers
The fee usually covers all appointments to finish the root canal and X-rays taken during treatment. The exam and X-rays before treatment, a buildup and the crown that usually follows are billed separately.
