What it is
A stress test records your heart's electrical activity (ECG) while you walk on a treadmill or ride a bike, or after a medicine that makes the heart work harder. It is ordered to check for heart problems such as blocked arteries, often after chest pain.
What the price covers
This global code covers the test itself plus the supervising clinician and the doctor's interpretation and report. Heart imaging with the test (echo or nuclear) and any stress medicine are billed with other codes.
