What it is
Prolactin is a pituitary hormone that drives milk production. The test is ordered for irregular or absent periods, nipple discharge, infertility, low sex drive and suspected pituitary tumors.

The price usually covers running the test. The blood draw (36415) is often billed as a separate line.
