A complete wrist X-ray takes at least three pictures of the wrist from different angles to show the forearm ends and the small wrist bones. It is commonly ordered after a fall on an outstretched hand to check for a fracture.
What the price covers
The hospital price usually covers taking the X-ray of one wrist. The radiologist's reading is often billed separately.
