What it is
A soft tissue neck CT makes cross-section pictures of the throat, glands, lymph nodes and airway without contrast dye. It is less common than the contrast scan, and is used when dye cannot be given.

The hospital price usually covers the scan and any contrast dye. The radiologist's reading is often billed separately.
