What it is
A soft tissue neck X-ray shows the airway and the tissues of the throat rather than the spine. It is used in children and adults to look for a swallowed object, swelling of the epiglottis or croup.
What the price covers
The hospital price usually covers taking the X-ray. The radiologist's reading is often billed separately.
