Cash or insurance?

If you have insurance but have not met your deductible, you usually pay your plan's negotiated rate, which falls somewhere in the "Insurers pay" column. What it is
A colposcopy uses a magnifying scope to look closely at the cervix; in this version the doctor takes biopsies of the cervix and scrapes cells from inside the cervical canal (endocervical curettage). It is usually done after an abnormal Pap or HPV test.
What the price covers
The price covers the colposcopy and the sampling. The pathologist's exam of the samples and the office visit are usually billed separately.
