What it is
A home sleep apnea test uses a small device you wear overnight in your own bed to record breathing, breathing effort, oxygen level and heart rate. It is used to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea in adults who are likely to have it.
What the price covers
The price usually covers the use of the device and the scoring of the recording. The sleep physician's interpretation may be billed separately, and the CPAP machine, if needed, is bought separately.
