Cash or insurance?

If you have insurance but have not met your deductible, you usually pay your plan's negotiated rate, which falls somewhere in the "Insurers pay" column. What it is
A transvaginal ultrasound uses a small probe placed in the vagina to make close-up pictures of the uterus, ovaries and pelvis. It is used to look into pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, fibroids or ovarian cysts. This code is for non-pregnancy exams.
What the price covers
The hospital price usually covers the exam itself. The radiologist's reading is often billed separately, and many exams are paired with an abdominal pelvic ultrasound (76856 or 76857), which is billed as its own code.
