Cash or insurance?

If you have insurance but have not met your deductible, you usually pay your plan's negotiated rate, which falls somewhere in the "Insurers pay" column. What it is
This MRI of a lower-limb joint, often the knee, hip or ankle, is done first without contrast dye and then again after contrast dye is injected into a vein. The extra images can help show infection, tumors or inflammation more clearly.
What the price covers
The hospital price usually covers both sets of images. The radiologist's reading is often billed separately, and the contrast agent may be a separate pharmacy charge.
