Outpatient: lowest $612.35, median $669.33, highest $1,271.01 — a 2.1× difference within the same market.

Both sides : lowest $3,020.17, median $3,020.17, highest $3,020.17.

The two groups are not comparable and are not averaged together: a price for both sides of the body covers twice the work. Merging them is how a single published "median" ends up far above what one side actually costs.

As an inpatient, the same code is billed by 3 facilities here, median $669.33. Inpatient and outpatient prices are not comparable and are kept on separate pages: the inpatient charge covers admission, not the same purchase.

What it is

A leg CT without contrast makes cross-section pictures of part of the leg, such as the knee, ankle or foot bones. It is used for complex fractures, planning surgery and when an X-ray is unclear.

What the price covers

The hospital price usually covers the scan and any contrast dye. The radiologist's reading is often billed separately.
