What it is
A leg CT without contrast makes cross-section pictures of part of the leg, such as the knee, ankle or foot bones. It is used for complex fractures, planning surgery and when an X-ray is unclear.
What the price covers
The hospital price usually covers the scan and any contrast dye. The radiologist's reading is often billed separately.
