Cash or insurance?
At 14 of 18 hospitals that publish insurer rates for this code here, the cash price is below the highest rate a health plan has negotiated, and at 2 it is below every plan's rate. If you have insurance but have not met your deductible, you usually pay your plan's negotiated rate, which falls somewhere in the "Insurers pay" column. A neck X-ray shows the bones of the cervical spine. It is used after injuries such as car accidents and falls, and for neck pain with warning signs.
What the price covers
The price usually covers taking the images. The radiologist's reading may be billed separately.
