Cash or insurance?

If you have insurance but have not met your deductible, you usually pay your plan's negotiated rate, which falls somewhere in the "Insurers pay" column. What it is
A single-view chest X-ray takes one picture of the chest, usually from the front, to show the lungs and heart. It is often done in the emergency room or at the bedside with a portable machine, for example to check a breathing tube or follow up pneumonia.
What the price covers
The hospital price usually covers taking the X-ray. The radiologist's reading is often billed separately.
