Cash or insurance?

What it is
A sleeve gastrectomy removes most of the stomach through small cuts, leaving a narrow tube-shaped stomach that holds much less food. It is a weight-loss (bariatric) operation for people with severe obesity, often with related conditions such as type 2 diabetes.
What the price covers
The facility price usually covers the operating room and recovery and may not include the hospital stay. The surgeon, anesthesia, pathology, pre-surgery tests and follow-up visits are usually billed separately.
