What it is
ACL reconstruction rebuilds a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the knee with a tendon graft, using a small camera and instruments through small cuts. It is commonly done for knee instability after a sports or twisting injury.
What the price covers
The facility price usually covers the operating room, recovery and often the screws or anchors; a donor tendon graft, if used, may be listed separately. The surgeon, anesthesia (often with a nerve block) and physical therapy afterward are billed separately.
